Solid backup at a very good price

You can easily pay twice as much for a 1000VA battery backup but it won't do any better job than this one. It's a no frills unit - no digital display and clunky software - but it does it's job very well. I don't really care about the software but I'd add the 5th star if it were worthwhile. This unit solved the main problem that I was having which was having the PC shutdown during a power glitch even with a brand new 550VA unit in place. For less than the cost of the APC 550VA unit the Maruson 1000VA unit can carry the load without a hiccup. Problem solved at an excellent value.

Good So Far

Have not put it through any *rigorous* duty as it's my secondary UPS. Very plain to look at, nothing flashy, but in my opinion not really needed to get the job done. The cost was well worth the loss of flashy. So far, I am quite happy with this purchase.
